Code of conduct
Simple expectations for a strong community.
General conduct
- Carry the identity card and school diary every day.
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before the bell and move quietly to assembly or class.
- Wear the prescribed uniform neatly on all working days and school functions.
- Respect school property; report damage immediately to the class teacher.
- Money, valuables, jewellery, mobile phones and prohibited articles should not be brought to school.
- Students using school transport must maintain discipline throughout the journey.
Attendance and absence
- A minimum of 75% attendance is required for promotion and examinations.
- Leave should be sanctioned in advance; unplanned absence must be explained in writing.
- Students leaving during school hours must be accompanied by a parent or registered legal guardian.
- Parents should not send an unwell child to school.
- After an infectious illness, a medical fitness certificate is required before returning.
Punctuality
- The school gate closes 10 minutes after the first bell.
- Repeated late arrival may attract the fine or disciplinary action prescribed by the school office.
- Parents should plan transport so students reach the campus safely and on time.
Withdrawal
- One calendar month's written notice is required for withdrawal, subject to the exceptions stated by the school.
- All school dues must be settled before a Transfer Certificate is issued.
- A student may be asked to leave for serious disciplinary reasons, persistently unsatisfactory work or repeated detention.
Examinations
- Students must meet the 75% attendance requirement to appear for examinations.
- Unfair means during a test result in zero for that subject; repetition may lead to dismissal.
- Assignments and MCQ assessments missed by a student are ordinarily not conducted again.
Guidance for parents
- Check the school diary, homework and notices regularly.
- Meet teachers on scheduled PTA days and stay informed about your child's progress.
- Inform the school promptly about changes to address or telephone number.
- Check uniform, nails, hair and the daily timetable before the child leaves home.
- Contact teachers or visit classrooms only with the Principal's permission during school hours.
